This pinnacle of black volcanic rock in Garibaldi Provincial Park is visible from the top of Whistler Peak chair lift. It is possible to hike to it along Rubble Creek trail or from the north via Helm Lake.
The Coast Mountains extend southwards from the Alaska Panhandle, following the shoreline to Hagenborg. They are covered with a temperate rainforest, but are also characterised by snowy peaks and icefields. The mountains are home to moose, bears and numerous eagles, and offer many hiking trails of varying levels of difficulty.
