    The Capilano Suspension Bridge
    Capilano Suspension Bridge & Park

    One of the Vancouver areas most interesting and entertaining attractions, the Capilano Suspension Bridge has spanned the Capilano River for over a hundred years. The bridge gently rocks and sways as it leads visitors to a beautifully landscaped area with tall trees, fish ponds and hiking trails. It is also possible to watch First Nation carvers at work, and there are many photo opportunities here, especially from the deck that is built along the canyon wall. Restaurants and gift shops are also available.

    Hastings Mill Store
    The Hastings Mill Store was built in 1865 and is one of the few buildings remaining from before the great fire of 1886. In 1930 the store was moved to its present site and is now a museum that is home to a collection of Indian and pioneer furnishings, textiles, pictures and maps.

    Lions Gate Bridge National Historic Site
    Lions Gate Bridge, constructed in the late 1930s, connects mainland Vancouver with the North Shore. It is the longest suspension bridge in Western Canada, and the tower height is 111 metres (364 feet). Reconstruction and improvements have occured several times, but the bridge has retained it's original form and continues to be a well-known landmark of Vancouver. The bridge was recognized as a National Historic Site of Canada in 2005.

    Asian Centre
    Opened in 1981, the Asian Centre provides a focal point for sharing information and ideas across the Pacific. Exhibitions will only be considered if the works are of an Asian technique or of an Asian theme. Sponsorship is considered only for first time exhibitors at the Asian Centre in order to enable the Centre to introduce as many new artists to the community as possible. Mon to Fri 9 am - 5 pm.

    Arthur Erickson House & Garden
    The home and garden of Arthur Erickson, Vancouver native and one of Canada's greatest architects. As well as this house, Erickson designed Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, the Provincial Law Courts and Vancouver Art Gallery in downtown Vancouver, and the Museum of Anthropology and the Koerner Library at the University of British Columbia. Tours are offered, but must be arranged ahead of time.

    This building was home to the first city jail, and was renovated in the 1970s. It is one of the oldest buildings in Vancouver.
