This maritime-themed market, located on Granville Island, features kayak shops and instruction centres, seafood restaurants, river rafting and exotic tour companies, boat rentals and marine souvenir shops amongst the repair shops, supply stores, and outboard dealers. The centrepiece of the Granville Island shopping experience, the Public Market features green grocers, butchers, bakers, fishmongers, importers, ethnic food sellers, craft vendors, sweet stands, florists and casual eateries. Fifty permanent vendors and a constantly changing array of farmers, artisans and cottage industry food producers are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week.
