The Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art is Vancouver's newest public art gallery and the downtown home for Aboriginal art, culture, and learning. The gallery houses permanent collections of Bill Reid and offers rotating exhibitions of Northwest Coast artists in two of the three galleries. Mon to Fri 10:30 am - 5 pm, Sat, Sun 11 am - 5 pm. The Silk Purse was built over 50 years ago as a honeymoon cottage for newlyweds and has housed a collection of Canadian memorabilia over the years. Opened in 1981, the Asian Centre provides a focal point for sharing information and ideas across the Pacific. Exhibitions will only be considered if the works are of an Asian technique or of an Asian theme.
