Those of us who saw the Gardener at the Greenhouse will not forget the amazing atmosphere of orchestra and singers among audience and plants in the Vancouver Parks Board Nursery near Main and 51st! Opera Appassionata will be turning the Greenhouse into the enchanted garden of the sorceress Melissa to present 3 performances of Handel's opera "Amadigi" in the same venue. This baroque opera has Amadigi pitted against Melissa and her furies trying to free his beloved Oriana against many odds including his friend Dardano. Handel's music has the soloists singing vocal fireworks to the accompaniment of a chamber orchestra. This promises to be more than just "one enchanted evening"!!!
