Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) started in 1934 as an outdoor band shell in Stanley Park for summer afternoon concerts of choral or orchestra music. In 1940, a group of local theatre people formed Theatre Under the Stars to produce quality musicals during the summer. Since then, the group has been delighting audiences from around the world with summer musical theatre productions in the historic Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park.
